Akamihk Kanataskiy Ventures (AKV) offers a variety of services to support its endeavours and stakeholders.

Focussing on the future of MFN Management and its portfolio of services, AKV supports its community.

Pigeon Lake Remediation and Reclamation

This is a full service reclamation of the Pigeon Lake land and is a partnership with Imperial Oil and Sublatus as contractors. All four Nations in Maskwacis share in the reclamation, heavy equipment training, and staff development on the site. AKV’s focus is on employment of its Nation members through the Canadian Skills and Partnership Fund. This fund links industry with Indigenous partnerships and leverages private sector and federal-provincial funding.

Road Maintenance and Access

Ensuring the roads are graded and safe to use, along with maintaining access to homes is a priority for AKV. With regular road maintenance, staff are also being trained on servicing and operations of the grader.

Building Services and Security

Security ensures MFN buildings are safe and secure while also being on site to protect staff during work hours.

Also among the services being offered include maintaining MFN’s grave site and its other infrastructure.
